What is Upside?
Upside runs the business side of your camp. Signups, payments, waivers, parent emails. All handled. You coach. We do the rest.
How much does it cost?
Free to start. When someone registers we take 10%, plus card processing (2.9% + 30¢) at cost. Pro is $1,000 a year: you keep your parent and camper data across every camp, get 10 hours of hands-on help from our team, and our fee drops to 6% plus card processing, so Pro pays for itself once your camps bring in about $25,000 a year. Full Service is $10,000 per camp plus 6% of revenue, and our team runs that camp with you, from booking the gym to marketing to setup and cleanup. Full Service camps are booked at least 6 months ahead.
How long does it take to get my camp site live?
Most coaches publish their camp page the same day they sign up. On Pro, we'll help you set it up.
Do I need any technical skills?
Not at all. You describe your camp and we draft the page. You'll get a dashboard to track registrations and revenue, but there's nothing to code or configure.
How do I get paid?
You connect your bank once through Stripe's secure signup. When parents pay, the Upside fee comes out and the rest waits in your Stripe account until your camp is over. Two days after the last day, it goes to your bank automatically. If you have to cancel or refund, the money is right there.
Can I use my own branding?
Your branding, yes: your logo, colors and photos on your own camp page at upside.ltd. Parents and campers see you, not us. Using your own web address isn't available yet.
What sports do you support?
Basketball is where we started, but Upside works for any sport. Football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, wrestling, whatever you coach.
What's included in the digital waivers?
Parents sign online as part of registering, so nobody is on your roster without a signed waiver. We keep the exact waiver text each parent agreed to, with the time they signed.
Who owns my data?
You do. Export your registrations anytime. On Free, each camp's parent list clears from your dashboard two weeks after the camp ends, so download it if you want to keep it. Pro keeps everything for as long as you're subscribed.
